July 16, 2010 - aphid report
I found a few fields in the MN river bottom that will most likely be sprayed for aphids next week.  In general, fields outside of those areas are all infested but at very low levels.  Aphid infestations do seem to be a few weeks behind what I would think of as typical but they can increase in numbers quite fast....stay tuned.

The chemical distributor I'm working with is offering a discount on Lorsban insecticide for soybean aphids if booked now and payment does not have to be made until the product is used.  They are offering this to get an accurate idea on how much they need to order from the manufacturer.  Please let me know how much you would possible be using so that I can let them know.  You will not be obligated to the product.  Thanks
